We are delighted to announce that we are currently planting three new churches. The Velocity Christian Church in Lyndhurst/South Euclid area in Cleveland just celebrated their fourth year anniversary. They have a dynamic worship service on Sunday mornings with a combined worship attendance of about 200 – 225. Velocity has developed the reputation of being a church that loves and serves both kids and the city.
Velocity meets in the Kiddie Company facility which used to be an elementary school building in Lyndhurst. They have been engaged in community outreach in a healthy and significant way, even before they moved into their facility and started Sunday morning worship. The congregation is marked by their excellent community service and outreach to youth. Scott Pugh is the lead planter. The church website is www.velocitycc.org
Velocity has a passion for helping people who are far away from God to begin their journey back to Him. They are also committed to make disciples who make disciples. As a result of that they have planted a satellite campus in Mentor. They are currently meeting in one of the school buildings and ministering to nearly 250 people in that area. Mentor has one of the largest High school populations in the entire State of Ohio. Scott and his team are making God appointed contacts and establishing meaningful service projects in Mentor nearly every day. Velocity’s Lyndhurst Campus continues to thrive and the congregation there still has over 300 people in worship on Sundays. God is using Velocity in a mighty way to love Cleveland for and help people to find God!
We are thrilled to hear that the Velocity Christian Church is planning to plant a congregation internationally. We are so thrilled and thankful for their vision and passion for God!
