  • Our vision is to help to plant three churches this year! We are also in the process of discovering a church planter to help us in a local plant and help lead church planting in the future.

OUR STORY – YOUR STORY

Len and Jeff are so excited; they were like a couple of schoolboys covered with paint, drywall dust, and loving it!  Fresh hot coffee and donuts, pizza, and plenty of chips gave us the energy to fly right through the tremendous work load that we were called to undertake those three days!  It was a time for true joy, celebration, and having the anointing of the Lord resting on each one.  The folks that God pulled together were preparing a house of worship and ministry for the Valley Christian Church.

This is story is much more than a story about bricks and sticks! The new, to them, facilities is an answer to a three year long, fervent prayer!  It really is a testimony to the faithfulness of a loving God who called us to make disciples who make disciples.  The journey for a permanent facility that the leadership at Valley was on seemed endless.  They search every lead in every corner of the city.  They considered re-purposing several businesses, they searched for a suitable church facility, they looked at lease-options, and every time it seemed like a door was opening, it slammed shut!  We kept looking, and praying, and looking, and praying.  Finally, in the early spring of 2018, God gave them a building. When I say that God gave it to them that is exactly what happened.  God led Christ’s Church in Boardman to make a very, very difficult decision and they gave Valley their building.

The summer was spent in updating the building and preparing for their opening Sunday in September.  Beyond the work that was being done on the building and grounds, the real work of the church continued as well.  They faithfully continued to pour into their discipleship studies and reached even more disciples!  They are currently adding more opportunities to both learn and practice discipleship. This is producing a base of well grounded, growing, and vibrant followers of Jesus.  Oh, by the way, a number of the former members of Christ’s Church became a part of the Valley Christian Church’s vision and ministry!

The Lord answered their prayers in a huge, tangible, awesome way! Please keep our new churches in your prayers!  And . . . let us know if we can serve you.  After all, we are genuine partners in this ministry of church planting and making disciples who make disciples. This is our story!
